Welcome to TechHavela, a free resource for dog and cat owners who want to understand what their pet’s symptoms and behavior changes may mean, and when it is time to call the vet.
Who Is Behind TechHavela
TechHavela is run by Sidnir Vieira, a retired entrepreneur based in Brazil and a lifelong pet owner. I had a dog for many years, and today I share my home with a cat. Like every pet owner, I know the worry of noticing that something is different and not knowing whether it can wait or needs a vet right away.
I created TechHavela to help other owners in that moment: to explain common symptoms in plain language, point out the warning signs that should never be ignored, and make it easier to have a better conversation with your veterinarian.
What You Will Find Here
- Symptom guides for dogs and cats, such as vomiting, limping, scratching, or sudden behavior changes. Start with our Dog Symptoms guide.
- The free Pet Symptom Checker, which lets you search 200 common symptoms by body area.
- Inspiring stories about rescue animals and the people who care for them.
How Our Content Is Made
Our health guides are researched using publicly available veterinary sources, such as the Merck Veterinary Manual, VCA Animal Hospitals, the ASPCA, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and university veterinary programs. Sources are linked inside each article so you can read them yourself.
TechHavela is not a veterinary practice, and our articles are not reviewed by a veterinarian. Our content is educational only. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace an examination by a licensed veterinarian. If your pet has trouble breathing, collapses, has a seizure, is bleeding, or may have eaten something toxic, contact a veterinarian or an emergency animal hospital immediately.
Advertising and Affiliate Links
TechHavela is free to read and is supported by advertising. Some articles may contain affiliate links, which are always disclosed. You can read more in our Affiliate Disclosure.
